Your Holiday Itinerary

Day One. We head to our overnight ferry to the continent, enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.

Day Two. We travel to Beethoven’s Bonn for a short visit, where the cosy market has been described as Germany’s best kept secret. We continue to our hotel and check in for our three night stay.

Day Three. We journey to Frankfurt’s huge market with its giant Christmas tree, traditional Gluhwein and specialised stalls selling handmade souvenirs. Later, we head to Wiesbaden where the
market offers arts and crafts and is characterised by illuminated lilies alongside shooting star and sparkling snowflake lights in the trees.

Day Four. Rudesheim is our morning market where the picture postcard old quarter is the evocative setting for the town’s Christmas spectacular. Here, over a hundred stalls showcase traditions and tastes from around the world in a fairytale setting – treat yourself to a local coffee, deliciously laced with brandy and topped with whipped cream. We move on to Mainz where the Christmas fayre is set in the market square with a sea of lights against the backdrop of the ancient cathedral and the Renaissance facades of historic houses, with the scent of roasted almonds filling the air.

Day Five. We check out and head to our overnight ferry back to the UK, enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.

Day Six. We travel home, filled with Christmas dreams.

Hotel Ruppert - Walluf

This traditional family run hotel is a low-rise property located just a two minute walk from the River Rhine promenade in the charming town of Walluf. It has a pleasant restaurant, cosy bar and a furnished patio.

Overnight Ferry to Continent

Your holiday moves up a gear when you board your overnight ferry for your sailing to the continent. Drop your overnight bag in your cabin then explore the ship or unwind with an aperitif in one of the bars.

On Board Dining

All GLENTON continental holidays include dinner and breakfast onboard. Head to buffet restaurant where your waiter will show you to your table and take your order if you wish to purchase any drinks. Then you’re free to help yourself from the wide selection of tasty dishes from around the world. At breakfast, choose from continental or a fully cooked menu. Alternatively if you fancy treating yourself, why not upgrade to the à la carte restaurant and enjoy fine dining with full waiter service?

Entertainment

Make your way to the show lounge and enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening – or take your place on the dance floor for a wee boogie! Perhaps you’d like to catch a blockbuster movie at the cinema or try your luck at the casino.

Cabins

Your GLENTON continental holiday includes an air conditioned inside en suite cabin with bunk beds. However, you can upgrade to a cabin with level beds and/or sea view for a small supplement. Please ask your holiday advisor when booking.
