All the fun of the seaside is in store at wonderful Weston with miles of sandy beaches and a level promenade giving stunning views over the Bristol Channel. The resort’s Grand Pier is steeped in Victorian history and exudes old world charm with a ghost train, amusement arcades, and a traditional tea room. Perhaps head to Grove Park, home to Jill’s Garden, a peaceful plot in memory of local television presenter, Jill Dando. Maybe take a boat trip to Steep Holm Island or uncover local history at the museum. Visit the Winter Gardens, a neo-Georgian pavilion and beachfront landmark or have fun playing crazy golf. Perhaps head to the Helicopter Museum, the largest of its kind on the planet and where you’ll be amazed by the collection of well preserved historic choppers from around the world and intrigued by the interactive zones. We enjoy a day in Roman Bath where you can admire landmarks such as the abbey, Guild Hall, Pulteney Bridge and Roman Baths. We also take in a guided tour of the cathedral city of Bristol, a scenic metropolis and the UK’s first European Green Capital, known for its vibrant artistic scene and the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, along with fascinating museums.
