Scarborough is a pretty resort with two sandy bays, a medieval castle, popular Peasholm Park and a Victorian funicular train linking the centre with the bay and harbour. Includes a day in the walled city of York, a storybook metropolis with a Gothic minster, castle and Viking museum. Our base is the Britannia Grand Hotel, which overlooks Scarborough’s harbour and South Bay, and hosts entertainment in its spacious ballroom.
