Our base is Llandudno’s Grand Hotel which stands right next to the pleasure pier, overlooking the sandy beach. Inside you’ll find spacious and comfortably furnished guest areas including a games room and a ballroom where entertainment is hosted. Treats include a trip on the Great Orme Tramway which takes visitors up to the Great Orme Country Park and nature reserve. We experience the magic of the Mediterranean style village of Portmeirion, built in the style of an Italian village and familiar to many as the setting for the classic TV series, The Prisoner. From here, we continue to pretty Porthmadog. Our final day out takes us firstly to Caernarfon with its thirteenth century castle, then onwards to the lakeside village of Llanberis.
