Our base is the four star Mercure Bridgwater Hotel, which has a chic lounge bar and restaurant, and is located just a few minutes walk from the Bridgwater & Taunton Canal, and the Somerset Brick & Tile Museum. On your free day, perhaps enjoy a stroll along the picture perfect canal towpath or through Bridgwater’s compact town centre with its impressive historic architecture. A highlight will be our guided tour of Bath where you can take a stroll through the centuries with eye-catching landmarks including the Roman Baths. Afterwards, perhaps visit the Jane Austen Centre, or Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein. We also spend time at the seaside in wonderful Weston-super-Mare, then call at the handsome little city of Wells, home to a magnificent gothic cathedral.
