Morecambe has a delightful promenade where you’ll find a statue of the town’s most famous son - comedy legend Eric Morecambe. Head to Happy Mount Park where you’ll find nature trails, a miniature railway, a lovely café and a putting green, or view the displays at the heritage centre. We stay at the beachfront Strathmore Hotel, and you’ll have a free day to enjoy the resort. Excursions take us to bustling Blackpool, home to the Golden Mile, vintage trams, the iconic tower and the new Showtown Museum. We also head to the lovely Lake District where we call at the pretty market town of Kendal, before continuing to Bowness-on-Windermere where you might like to take a scenic sail on the sparkling lake.
