Your Excursions

Guided Walking Tour of Cong & Westport
We call at the village of Cong, where the Oscar winning movie, The Quiet Man was filmed for a guided walking tour learning all about Hollywood movie makers arriving in this sleepy settlement. Later we continue to Westport, home to a heritage centre and stone bridges linking a tree-lined promenade on the banks of the Carrowbeg River.

Rose of Innisfree & Sligo
We head to Parke’s Castle to board the Rose of Innisfree tourist boat for a scenic sail on Lough Gill, taking in the spectacular scenery on this limestone lake. Afterwards, free time in Sligo Town.

King House & Carrick-on-Shannon
We visit King House, an architectural treasure built circa 1730 that later became a military barracks. We move on to Carrick-on-Shannon, a riverside town, home to the tiny and ornate Costello Chapel, believed to be the smallest chapel in Europe.
