Treats include a visit to fascinating Glencolmcille Folk Village, a popular attraction with replica old-fashioned homes, complete with furniture and artefacts dating from the 18th century. From here, we continue to Ardara, a quaint village set amidst mountain scenery, the home of tweed making, and where we call at the Triona Donegal Tweed Visitor Centre to watch traditional handweaving demos. Another gem is our outing to the island town of Enniskillen, then onwards to the Belleek Pottery Centre which houses fine porcelain china. You’ll be staying at the Central Hotel in the heart of Donegal Town, a tourist magnet where attractions include the craft village, castle, Railway Heritage Museum, and where we include a sail on the town’s waterbus.
