Bodelwyddan Castle is a lavish property near the Denbighshire Coast that blends the romance of a château with all the amenities of a modern hotel. It is a dramatic blend of Gothic, Jacobean and Greek revival architecture. The building was requisitioned by the army during World War I for the practice of trench warfare, and later became Lowther College. Holiday includes a guided tour of the walled city of Chester, home to a Roman amphitheatre, an ancient cathedral, and thirteenth century half timbered shops. We also spend a day in Llandudno where you’ll find the Great Orme Mines as well as a pleasure pier.
