Day Trip

Standing in the heart of rural Perthshire, Blair Castle is a magnificent fortress that has been transformed over the centuries from bleak medieval beginnings to a splendid Georgian mansion, then finally, a baronial style Victorian castle. The annual Christmas Fayre takes place inside its magnificent Banvie Hall ballroom as well as at the Christmas Village on the forecourt in front of the castle. You’ll find a huge range of gifts, arts and crafts, all created in Scotland, as well as a deliciously tempting range of foods from fresh game to tasty fudge alongside spirits including gins, vodkas, liqueurs and craft beers. If you work up an appetite, perhaps treat yourself to pancakes, paninis or some street food from a choice of vendors.
