Your Holiday Itinerary

Day One. We travel to our overnight ferry to the continent, where we enjoy dinner, entertainment and breakfast onboard.

Day Two. We continue to our dinner, bed and breakfast overnight hotel.

Day Three. Onwards to Vienna to board the MS Beethoven. Join the crew for a welcome cocktail reception as your ship sets sail for Melk, Austria.

Day Four. Wake up in Melk, home to a Benedictine Abbey as well as a storybook Old Town. Later, we glide through the beautiful Wachau Valley to Durnstein. Enjoy free time taking in sights such as the ruins of a castle that once held Richard the Lionheart prisoner. Dinner as you sail to Bratislava, Slovakia.

Day Five. We arrive in Bratislava. Attractions here include medieval Michael’s Gate, the pastel painted Blue Church, Old Town Hall, the neoclassical Primacial Palace and an impressive castle, perched on the mountain overlooking the city.

Day Six. We cruise on to the graceful city of Kalocsa, Hungary, from where we rejoin our coach for a visit to the amazing landscapes of the Puszta. Returning to our ship, we cruise on to Budapest.

Day Seven. We arrive in Budapest to soak up the city’s many charms. Impressive sights include the Fisherman’s Bastion, Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Chain Bridge, St Stephen’s Basilica, Heroes Square and Parliament Building.

Day Eight. Esztergom is our treat today. One of the oldest cities in Hungary, it is home to a massive basilica, which soars high above the cityscape. In the afternoon, we cruise towards Vienna. Gala evening onboard tonight!

Day Nine. A day at leisure in the Austrian capital of Vienna. Must see sights include Schonbrunn Palace, St Stephen’s Cathedral, the baroque Hofburg and the neo-gothic Rathaus.

Day Ten. We disembark and travel to our dinner, bed and breakfast overnight hotel.

Day Eleven. We journey to our overnight ferry where we enjoy dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.

Day Twelve. We make our way home after a truly magical adventure.

MS Beethoven

This elegantly decorated ship has a restaurant with large windows offering panoramic views along with a refined dining experience. On the middle deck, the tastefully furnished lounge bar has a dance floor while the upper deck features a piano bar  with a cosy ambience. Comfortable loungers are available on the sundeck, the perfect place to take in the surrounding landscapes – or perhaps join the morning fitness class. There is also a reception and gift shop.

All cabins are ensuite with shower, satellite TV, a safe, hairdryer and air-conditioning and all face outwards, giving views of the river. Upgrades are available for cabins higher on the vessel and some cabins have French balconies. Free Wi-Fi is also available on board.

Your holiday moves up a gear when you board your overnight ferry for your sailing to the continent. Drop your overnight bag in your cabin then explore the ship or unwind with an aperitif in one of the bars.

All GLENTON continental holidays include dinner and breakfast onboard. Head to buffet restaurant where your waiter will show you to your table and take your order if you wish to purchase any drinks. Then you’re free to help yourself from the wide selection of tasty dishes from around the world. At breakfast, choose from continental or a fully cooked menu. Alternatively if you fancy treating yourself, why not upgrade to the à la carte restaurant and enjoy fine dining with full waiter service?

Entertainment

Make your way to the show lounge and enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening – or take your place on the dance floor for a wee boogie! Perhaps you’d like to catch a blockbuster movie at the cinema or try your luck at the casino.
