Holiday gems include a relaxing cruise through the beautiful Wye Valley, watching out for leaping salmon, peregrine falcons and cute little mink. We then call at Ross-on-Wye for a potter about this pretty market town with its mock gothic walls and gazebo tower folly. We snake through the Malvern Hills to Ledbury where you’ll find timber-framed dwellings in medieval Church Lane. From here, we move on to Worcester where the skyline is dominated by the tower of the beautiful cathedral which houses royal tombs. Another treat is a day in Bath, home to Roman Baths that have changed little for two millennia. Our base is the excellent Ramada Cheltenham which stands in manicured gardens and has chic and comfortable guest areas.
