Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel - North Wales

Bodelwyddan Castle is a lavish property near the Denbighshire Coast that blends the romance of a château with all the amenities of a modern hotel. It is a dramatic blend of Gothic, Jacobean and Greek revival architecture and an extraordinary example of a marvellous Victorian folly. The building was requisitioned by the army during World War I for the practice of trench warfare and later became Lowther College. In fact, its Royale Bedroom was originally the headmaster’s study. Stretch your legs on a tour of the grounds or try activities such as archery, rifle shooting, table tennis, croquet, gin or cocktail tasting, Nordic walking, movies, putting green or aqua aerobics.
