St Annes is a classic seaside resort with manicured gardens, sand dunes, lovingly restored Victorian pier, boating lakes and a charming promenade. Perhaps visit Grade I listed Lytham Hall which houses fine art and furnishings. Our base is the resort’s Inn on the Prom, which stands on the promenade and has a furnished sun terrace offering stunning views across the beach and Irish Sea. We spend a day in Liverpool, home to Albert Dock where you can step back to the 1960s and discover how four young Liverpool lads were thrust to the dizzying heights of fame at The Beatles Story. We also head to Southport, where attractions include a pleasure pier, marine lake, and Lord Street, a Victorian canopied boulevard flanked by pretty parks.
