We stay at the four star Great Victoria Hotel, an impressive building centrally located in Bradford that blends Victorian grandeur with contemporary luxury. We visit Harewood House, one of the ‘Treasure Houses of England’, set in formal gardens with sumptuous State Rooms, featuring Chippendale furniture and fine art, as well as a Below Stairs area where you can uncover life as a servant. We call at Otley where the cobbled streets have featured on television dramas and spend a day in the spa town of Harrogate. We head to Skipton, a town dominated by its commanding, well-preserved castle. Here we enjoy a leisurely sail on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal before popping into pretty Grassington.
