Our base is Killarney, a tourist hub famed for festivals and lake regattas. This popular town has been welcoming visitors for over two centuries – including Queen Victoria in 1861. Perhaps visit fifteenth century Ross Castle or the magnificent Victorian mansion, Muckross House. Hop aboard a jaunting car to see the sights in the traditional way or take a boat trip to Innisfallen Island, home to monastic ruins dating back to the eleventh century. Maybe head to Killarney House and Gardens, a three-hundred-year-old estate lovingly restored to its former glory and where you can tour the period rooms and experience the beauty of the formal gardens. Splendid sightseeing includes the seaport city of Cork, home to impressive architecture and attractions. We explore the stunning Ring of Kerry, a lengthy route that circumnavigates the Iveragh Peninsula taking in rugged countryside, panoramic seascapes and secluded villages. We also enjoy a guided tour of the Fair City of Dublin with its endless attractions.
