Your Excursions

Nottingham

Look forward to an excursion to Nottingham where you might like to visit the City of Caves, a hidden maze of tunnels carved out of sandstone beneath the city streets that date back to the Dark Ages. They have been used over the years as a medieval tannery then later as an air raid shelter. Or perhaps visit the National Justice Museum, housed in a onetime Victorian gaol or Wollaton Hall, an Elizabethan mansion and home to the National History Museum.

Bakewell

We visit the Peak District market town of Bakewell, home to grand period houses and, of course, the eponymous tart. Perhaps enjoy a stroll along the delightful riverside promenade taking in the sublime scenery.

Lincoln

With its honey coloured cobbled streets and modern university, this lovely city is a magnificent medley of ancient and modern. Attractions include the glorious Lincoln Cathedral and the Collection, a stunning museum with an abundance of art and artefacts from throughout the ages.
