Overview:

This fascinating holiday showcases fine scenery and some of our most beloved historical treasures. Enjoy a day in Shakespeare-land where you could perhaps explore the five dedicated houses dotted around the picturesque market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, visit the Royal Shakespeare Theatre or take a cruise on the river. Look forward to spending a day at stately Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill. Set within two thousand acres of parkland and formal gardens, it is the perfect place for a great day out in exquisite surroundings. Then discover the beauty of the Cotswolds including Broadway, a chocolate box village often referred to as the “Jewel of the Cotswolds”.

Your Excursions:

Stratford-upon-Avon
Admire the half-timbered Tudor architecture, take a river cruise, stroll along the banks of the Avon or perhaps visit the Shakespeare related attractions like the Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres, the Holy Trinity Church where the playwright was buried and Anne Hathaway’s cottage.

Blenheim Palace
The Winston Churchill Exhibition displays personal letters, paintings and mementos from the life of the great man. Outside, the grounds feature the Butterfly House, the Lavender Garden, a giant maze and the Blenheim Bygones exhibition.

Villages of the Cotswolds
We discover the picture postcard villages of the Cotswolds including Stow-on-the-Wold with its vast market square, fifteenth century penal stocks and charming promenade of shops and cottages. Nicknamed the “Little Venice of the Cotswolds”, Bourton-on-the-Water straddles the River Windrush with a procession of ornate bridges and stone embankments while beautiful Broadway is the Cotswolds best kept secret.

Salford Hall Hotel - Evesham

Standing in its own grounds, this Grade I listed Tudor manor features an impressive approach via a winding driveway along with an abundance of charm and elegance with inglenook fireplaces and oak beamed ceilings. Please note there are some unavoidable stairs in this Tudor manor.
